General purpose model
The SGS4-14R is a slim jaw upgrade of previous models. Based on the discontinued model SGM4-15R, it was introduced in 2020 as a general purpose option for users that require a tool to cut small to medium diameters. The new slim jaw with a solid spacer plate minimises debris build up in the jaw allowing for easier cleaning without disasembly. Now with a jaw opening of 75mm, it is also suitable for container grafting of ornamental plants at low level.
Suited to preparing cleft, rind, wedge, whip & tongue grafts and the preparation of chip & 'T' buds in material of 5mm to 15mm in diameter. The jaw can also be modified to cut material up to 20mm if required.
Supplied with adjustment tools and 2 spare SGS18 cutting blades. An optional kerf blade kit is also available for preparing kerf scions.
Spare blade packs and an optional leather carry/ storage pouch are also available.
